From this weekend, Ilkley Manor House will present RE-Play, a joyful and imaginative exhibition celebrating the creative process, the pleasure of making and the playful possibilities of contemporary art.
First shown at Tinker Gallery, RE-Play, in a new iteration, will offer visitors the chance to experience the exhibition in a different setting and with a few new added artists.
Curated by artist Kathryn Fox and curator Andreea Chițan, the exhibition brings together a lively mix of two-dimensional and three-dimensional works by participating artists.
At its heart, RE-Play is about creativity, experimentation and artistic expression. The exhibition reflects the energy that comes from testing ideas, working with materials and allowing play to become part of the artistic process.
Andreea Chitan, Exhibitions and Events Manager at Ilkley Manor House, said: “We are very pleased to bring RE-Play to Ilkley Manor House following its first presentation at Tinker Gallery, and we are happy to be bringing a few new artists as well.
“The exhibition has a real sense of energy and joy, and it celebrates the importance of experimentation, curiosity and making. Presenting it here gives the work a new context and offers visitors another opportunity to enjoy the playful spirit of the exhibition.”
Visitors are invited to explore RE-Play until 28 June, at Ilkley Manor House which is open weekends 11 until 4.
