Ghyll Royd School and Pre-School saying thanks for being awarded Dobby Dazzler’s Lockdown Legend Award

Ghyll Royd School children and staff have been awarded a ‘Lockdown Legend’ award by local Facebook group DobbyDazzler.

The group, ran by Andrew Dobson and Darren Waller, was created during lockdown to promote fun challenges and encourages nominations of ‘Lockdown Legends’ who have gone above and beyond to help during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ghyll Royd School received their trophy on Thursday after a parent nominated the Independent School for its incredible work, providing a full online curriculum whilst the school itself was physically closed. Teachers provided over 700 assignments and spent over 180 hours online teaching and facilitating social time for the children stuck at home.
