Bradford Council has started a consultation revising parking tariffs and permit charges in Ilkley.
Changes would see the introduction of a second ‘chargeable’ resident visitor’s permit and a change to a single workers permit, which would cover 7-days.
Following requests from residents, Bradford Council propose to introduce an option for second visitor’s permit in its residential permit schemes, which would be charged at £40, this would be in addition to the one free visitor’s permit per household.
The consultation also looks to amend arrangements for Ilkley Workers Contract permits and Ilkley Business permits, with only a 7-day option available at a price of £150, instead of a series of charges based on the number of days per week parking was required in Ilkley. The council say the complexity of the current arrangement is difficult for users to understand and inefficient to administer.
Proposed changes would also see a change in pricing at the West Street on-street location to match car park charges, adding a longer stay option. The council say these locations are close to the car park and the changes will reduce confusion for residents.
The proposals appear to show no change to the current charges for on-street or car park charges in Ilkley. Charges for all the car parks in Ilkley can be found at www.bradford.gov.uk/transport-and-travel/parking/car-parks-in-ilkley/ and on-street parking at www.bradford.gov.uk/transport-and-travel/parking/on-street-parking-charges-in-ilkley/.
