Ilkley band Ten Fields have announced a special hometown concert to celebate ten years of making music together.

The five-piece will perform in the Wildman Studio at Ilkley Playhouse on Friday 23 October, bringing a decade of songs to a local audience. Their melodic, guitar-led music combines rich vocal harmonies with arrangements that range from quieter songs to a fuller electric sound.

Influences include Crowded House, Fleetwood Mac, Jackson Browne and The War on Drugs. Members have received airplay on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 6 Music and performed at venues and festivals across the UK and Europe.

A highlight of their first decade was recording at Rockfield Studios in Monmouthshire, Wales. The residential studio is part of British music history: Queen recorded “Bohemian Rhapsody” there, and its recording rooms have also welcomed Oasis and Coldplay.

For Ten Fields, Rockfield provided the setting for the five tracks that became The Rockfield Sessions EP. It also offered the chance to put everyday life aside and focus on the songs, with time to develop their arrangements and play together in a place associated with some of their musical heroes.

Ten Fields are Rhys Kelly (vocals, keyboards and guitar), Debbie Harris (vocals and guitar), Rick Robinson (bass and vocals), Nathan Kelly (guitar) and Henry Barker (drums and vocals).

Ten Fields guitarist Nathan Kelly said: “At the heart of Ten Fields has always been Rhys’s songwriting. He keeps bringing in great songs and we get to shape them and help bring them to life. That’s what has kept us making music together for ten years.

“Recording at Rockfield was a real highlight. Making our own music in a place with that history was extraordinary, but what I remember most is the time to concentrate completely on the songs and on playing together.

“Celebrating ten years with a hometown show in Ilkley feels particularly special. We’re looking forward to sharing these songs with people who’ve been with us along the way, as well as those discovering Ten Fields for the first time.”

The concert takes place at 7.30pm on Friday 23 October 2026 in the Wildman Studio at Ilkley Playhouse. Tickets are £12 and available from ilkleyplayhouse.co.uk.
