The Hall Brothers celebrate 35 years of music with special anniversary show

Local brothers Nick and Duncan Hall mark 35 years performing together with a special anniversary concert on Saturday 14 November.
Brothers Nick and Duncan Hall, who grew up in Draughton, are celebrating an impressive 35 years of making music together with a special anniversary performance at Ilkley Playhouse on Saturday 14 November at 7.30pm.
Since first performing together in 1991, the duo have built a reputation for their distinctive blend of soaring sibling harmonies, virtuoso guitar playing and infectious folk-rock energy. Whether performing as a duo or alongside other musicians and projects – including Nick with Plumhall and Duncan with the Rob Dylan Band – their live performances have consistently delighted audiences.
For this special anniversary show, Nick and Duncan will be joined by long-time musical collaborator John Carey on fiddle, alongside an accomplished rhythm section featuring Chris Bunyan on drums and percussion, and Jennifer Pugh on bass.

The evening promises a musical journey through the brothers' 35-year career, moving from the intimacy of their acoustic duo performances to the fuller, dynamic sound of a five-piece folk-rock band.
With a wealth of musical experience, outstanding musicianship and the unmistakable chemistry that only brothers can bring to the stage, this promises to be a memorable celebration of a remarkable musical partnership.
The response from audiences speaks for itself. Following a previous performance, Wilfrid's Folk Club in Ripon praised the brothers:
“The Hall Brothers. Wow! What can I say? You were AMAZING!! What a fantastic night of music, energy… entertainment and professional showmanship.”
