This autumn, Ilkley Musical Theatre Society (IMTS) is bringing the spectacular musical The Prince of Egypt to the King's Hall stage.

Based on the DreamWorks film, it features the story of Moses and his brother Ramses, and explores family, faith, courage and freedom through powerful storytelling and Stephen Schwartz’s unforgettable score.

The cast includes Daniel Martin taking on Moses after playing Frollo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, while Fen Greatley-Hirsch portrays Ramses, the prince torn between family loyalty and power.

Marie Obirigya brings courage and energy to Miriam, Moses’ devoted sister, and Rachel McMahon plays Queen Tuya, the loving and protective mother figure to Moses and Ramses. Sophia Rose portrays Queen Nefertari, bringing warmth and compassion to Egypt’s changing kingdom.

Ndanatsei Chinyoka makes her stage debut as Tzipporah, a strong and independent character, while Matthew Thomas plays Hotep, one of Pharaoh’s priests.

IMTS dedicates this production to its President, Gary Holmes, who sadly passed away suddenly on Sunday 11 October.

With a soaring score, stunning visuals, powerful performances, around 300 costumes, and an army of dedicated volunteers working both on and off stage, The Prince of Egypt promises to be one of IMTS's most ambitious productions to date.

Whether you're a long-time musical theatre fan or discovering the story for the first time, audiences can expect an evening filled with drama, emotion, humour and unforgettable music.

The production open on Wednesday 4 November, with performances at 7:15pm until Friday 6 November and two performances on Saturday 7 November, at 2:30pm and 6:30pm.
