How well do you know Addingham? During March, Ilkley & District u3a is running a picture quiz featuring well known landmarks around the village.
Visit the website at ilkleyu3a.org to see the photos and test your local knowledge. Then follow the instructions to enter a free online competition for a chance to win a £25 book token.
The prize draw for the book token will be made at the Addingham Drop-in on Friday 1st April. This session will be held at the Hub on Main Street from 10.30 to12 noon. Addingham residents are invited to come along, enjoy a chat with local u3a members over a coffee, and check out all that Ilkley & District u3a has to offer.
u3a activities are aimed at all those who are retired or semi-retired and there are over 140 interest groups to choose from.
These are run at venues in Ilkley and the surrounding towns and villages like Addingham. By becoming a u3a member you can rekindle old hobbies or start new ones - from art, poetry and badminton, to walking and ukulele groups - there is something for everyone. The emphasis is on fun, friendship and learning something new.
The membership fee is currently only £7 until renewal in August. Joining is easy - you can join at the drop-in session (in Ilkley's Clarke Foley Centre and Addingham's Hub on 1 April) or follow the instructions on the u3a website at ilkleyu3a.org.
