Vox Lumiere marries classic silent movie with live rock band in Ilkley

On Friday 25 September, Vox Lumiere brings Metropolis as you've never seen it before to King’s Hall, Ilkley for one night only.

Fritz Lang’s 1927 silent sci-fi masterpiece is touring UK theatres as an immersive live cinematic experience. While the 100 year-old classic shows on the big screen, a full rock band performs in perfect sync with the film, adding original music and powerhouse vocals.

Metropolis is a landmark German silent science fiction film directed by Fritz Lang. It's widely considered one of the greatest and most influential films ever made, shaping the look and themes of science fiction for decades.
