Ilkley Chat has been told multiple homes and cars were targeted overnight Sunday into Monday in Ben Rhydding.
Attempts on door handles were made on Stanfield Close and one resident, Nicky, message Ilkley Chat saying "about 4am in the morning, l was woken by them trying my front door handle and my dog instantly ran downstairs to bark at the door."
"my neighbours have also reported that they had heard things and one had their car door left open in the morning but nothing was taken as the car was empty"
Another resident believes they were peering through letterboxes looking for keys - the police advice is never to leave keys or any valuables which can be seen from outside.
Police have been made aware.
