Primal Cut’s banger makes the final

Primal Cut, Burley in Wharfedale based artisan sausage makers are delighted to announce they are a finalist in the "Farm to Fork" category in the Future Food Awards 2019, making into the final 5 from almost 400.

 

The awards celebrate, support and offer invaluable opportunities to trailblazing food companies and highlight the ‘best of the best’ in British food and drink. The 2019 finalists have been selected from hundreds of entries across nine different categories, including Farm to Fork, Young Producer, Drink Innovation, Mission Driven and Food Tech Innovation. 

 

The awards are the brainchild of Holly Shackleton, editor of Speciality Food Magazine – the biggest trade magazine in the fine food sector – and Sue Nelson, founder of The FoodTalk Show – a dedicated podcast enjoyed around the world.

 

Sue Nelson said: “This year’s finalists provide an insight into the incredibly talented and diverse companies that are helping to power forward their organisations in this dynamic sector of UK industry. These Awards give food and drink businesses ranging from small-scale producers to technology-driven innovators a chance to shine.” 

 

Making into the top 5 in their category, The judges wrote about Primal Cut’s entry ‘Juicy 100% natural sausages and nitrate free bacon. The judges loved the Sicilian sausages made with 100% free range Yorkshire pork and the work that had gone into the natural, honest and authentic production’

 

The 2019 Future Food Awards finals will take place at the Bread & Jam Festival, on Thursday 3rd October 2019, at the iconic 116 Pall Mall, London, the home of the Institute of Directors. A panel of judges boasting legendary founders and industry experts will whittle the entries down to unveil a winner from each category.
