Ilkley agency in running for multiple awards
Ilkley-based PR consultancy Approach is celebrating being shortlisted for three PR industry awards alongside a prestigious business accolade for its managing director Suzanne Watson.
The seven-strong team, which currently has more than 25 business and industry awards, is in the running for Outstanding Small PR Consultancy of the Year, Regional Campaign of the Year and for Community Relations of the Year in the Chartered Institute of Public Relations annual Yorkshire and Lincolnshire PRide awards. The shortlist commends the team’s effective campaigns undertaken on behalf of clients Airedale Chemical, Kirkgate Shopping and its business acumen as a thriving, growing agency.
Suzanne Watson has also been announced as a regional finalist in the Forward Ladies National Women In Business Awards to be held in September. The event celebrates the wider contribution and impact women make to communities and the UK economy and involves four regional finals and a national final in November.
Suzanne, who was named Ilkley Business Awards 2017 ‘Personality of the Year’ and was this month elected as vice president of Bradford Chamber of Commerce, said: “This has been the most incredible year for the Approach team and having all our hard work recognised by the best in the PR industry and our business peers is the ultimate accolade.
“This is our 16th year in business and is one that has already seen two new appointments, four new business wins, two award wins, eight awards shortlistings and a developing regional business role for myself.
“Whatever the outcome of our current awards nominations, 2017 will go down in history as one of Approach PR’s most pivotal years and facilitates perfectly our own evolving growth strategy.”
The annual CIPR PRide Yorkshire and Lincolnshire awards, which celebrates the most talented agencies and outstanding campaigns in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, will be held at The Queens, Leeds on 30 November. The Forward Ladies Yorkshire, North East and Scotland regional final of the National Women in Business Awards will be held on 22 September at The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Newcastle.
