Charities come together for Christmas Fayre
Nineteen charities took part in the Grand Charity Christmas Fayre on Saturday morning at the Clarke Foley Centre in Ilkley. Thanks to a sponsor covering the costs of organising the event, all the money raised went to the charities.
The Fayre was opened by Town Crier, Isabel Ashman whose rhyming declaration included the names of several charities taking part. Marty Bear the Martin House mascot delighted everyone by handing out Christmas gifts to children.
Visitors browsed Christmas gifts and decorations, with raffles and tombola’s for both adults and children.
A spokesperson for Ilkley Friends of Martin House, who organised the Fayre said ‘we would like to thank the charities who took part and everyone who came along to support the event which was very well attended.’
