Ilkley BID open for business
Ilkley BID Ltd, the company that operates the town’s Business Improvement District is keen to hear from local businesses, particularly those that are BID levy payers or trading in the BID area, that are interested in supplying products or services to the company.
“We have an ambitious vision for improving business in the town and funding for the next 5 years to support the achievement of this. As with any other local business we will need to purchase supplies and expertise to deliver our plans and we are committed to offering as many opportunities as we can to local businesses in our procurement”, comments Mark Heppinstall, Interim Chair of the BID Board.
Ilkley BID is keen to hear from local businesses who are interested in supplying a wide range of services ranging from marketing and PR, graphic design, printing, commercial electrical and other trades, professional services such as training providers and professional speakers, security personnel, courier/delivery and landscape architects. If your business isn't covered by this list, please feel free to propose your area of business on the form on the website.
Helen Rhodes the BID Manager adds “We are in our early stages of delivery so this is an indicative list. We would very much like to hear from businesses, especially those located in the BID area, who are interested in supplying to us or indeed working with the Ilkley BID team more generally”.
To express an interest, businesses should register on the Ilkley BID website in the first instance at https://ilkleybid.co.uk/register-as-a-supplier/
Helen has recently introduced a programme of BID open ‘drop-in’ sessions for local businesses that are in the BID area to share their views and issues and learn more about the work of the Ilkley BID company. These are now taking place weekly on Tuesday afternoons from 1.00-4.30pm and Wednesday mornings from 8.30am to 12 noon at the BID offices at the Town Hall, Ilkley. Drop in sessions may be subject to change due to holidays so please check the Ilkley BID website calendar at https://ilkleybid.co.uk/calendar
The BID Board is also interested in hearing from local BID levy payers businesses and others, about projects they think the BID could support or partner with. Anyone interested should visit the Ilkley BID website ( www.ilkleybid.co.uk) where they will find further information about the BID and a project proposal form.
