Ilkley Half Marathon sponsor to offer free massages to runners and spectators
The SportsShoes.com Ilkley Half Marathon is excited to announce another sponsor for the inaugural event on 14 July; award-winning Ilkley-based multi-disciplinary clinic, The Valley Clinic.
In their capacity as the official Physiotherapy partner for The SportsShoes.com Ilkley Half Marathon, The Valley Clinic will be providing free of charge massages to runners and spectators in the Event Village in West Holmes fields on the day of the half marathon. All donations will go to charitable causes.
Further, their expert team will be providing free physiotherapy advice and a Kinesio Taping service. Finally, an experienced dietician will also be on hand to advise on sports nutrition and any related dietary topics.
The physiotherapy team will be supporting us on the run up to the big day. Registered participants can present their confirmation email to receive £10 off their initial appointment at The Valley Clinic. The specialist physios can help manage any niggly injuries, provide running assessments as well as movement re-patterning for injury prevention.
Director of The Valley Clinic, Liz Blizzard, said, “What a privilege to have the opportunity to be involved and support this event and its participants. For over a decade, we have been working hard to keep Ilkley running by helping to prevent and manage sports injuries. Ilkley is the perfect venue, and the organisers have devised a scenic and challenging route. It promises to be a great day for runners and spectators.”
