Volunteers needed to get Ilkley Junior Parkrun off the ground

 

Ilkley mum, Jemma Ward, is appealing for volunteers to help start a junior parkrun in the Ilkley Riverside Memorial Gardens, which once up and running, will be weekly at 9am on a Sunday.

​

The parkrun will be a 2km course for 4 to 14 years old children.  Adults can run also but they can't cross the finish line or get a time.

​

Jemma has secured funding from Ilkley Round Table, met with 2 parkrun ambassadors to discuss the viability of using the park – the next step is to get enough willing volunteers to make the vision a reality.
