Ilkley Town Council invites volunteers to join its Planning Committee
Ilkley Town Council currently has two vacancies for non-councillor members on its Planning Committee and is inviting local residents to get involved. The Planning Committee usually meets on the second Tuesday of each month, from 6pm, to consider and comment on planning applications within the Ilkley parish area. Ilkley Christmas Tree Festival brings community together in a festive celebration!
Ilkley Christmas Tree Festival 2025 Ilkley’s Christmas Tree Festival at St. Margaret’s Church on 5th and 6th December was a huge success. Almost 1,800 people visited the festival to enjoy the beautifully dressed Christmas trees, music and refreshments in this beautiful church. New train timetables on Wharfedale Line from Sunday
Northern is reminding Wharfedale Line commuters to check before they travel, with train timetables changing from Sunday 14 December 2025. Community asked to Buy a Book for Bradford
Churches Together in Ilkley and local reading groups are supporting 'Buy a Book for Bradford', a community drive asking Ilkley residents to donate new or nearly new children’s story books this December. The initiative aims to get books into the hands of children in Bradford with limited access to reading materials as the UK marks 2026 as the Year of Reading. Refused: Plans for BT street hub on The Grove
BT artist impression of the Street Hub Plans to replace the phone box at the west end of The Grove with a 'street hub' featuring two large 75" screens has been refused by Bradford Council planners. BT currently have over 950 street hubs across the UK and submitted plans in September to place one on The Grove in Ilkley.
