All Saints church reopens to the public

From last Saturday, All Saints Church in Ilkley has reopened its doors to visitors.

Members of the public will be able to spend time in the church and explore the Heritage installations every Saturday 10am until 4pm and Sunday 1pm until 4pm.

A spokesperson said: “We are reopening the church building, with appropriate COVID-safe measures, for anyone to visit to either spend time in prayer and reflection and/or explore the heritage and history of our church.

“In September this will be extended to: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday between 10am and 4pm; and Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday, 1pm until 4pm.

“If you are making a special journey to visit the church please call first as occasional events or special services, such as weddings or funerals, may prevent or hinder access. “Guided tours and visits can be arranged. We welcome visits from schools, colleges and other groups and are keen to support any group that wishes to use the church as a learning resource. Please contact us to arrange.”

Anyone wishing to contact the church should email Rev. Mike Coe vicar@ilkleyallsaints.org.uk or Carry Lynott (Heritage Manager) heritage@ilkleyallsaints.org.uk
