Independent conveyancing specialist Lester Campbell has celebrated the opening of its new Ilkley office as the award-winning firm marks ten years in business.

Established in Leeds in 2016 by solicitors Jade Campbell and Rodney Lester, the firm specialises in residential and commercial conveyancing, and have opened their new premises in Ilkley at Victoria Works on Little Lane.

The business welcomed guests from Ilkley's business community to a launch celebration at The Ticket Office on Friday 9 October 2026.

The Ilkley office is headed up by Partner Tracey Lynam, an experienced Licensed Conveyancer with more than 25 years in the property industry, who joined Lester Campbell in November 2025 and became a Partner alongside Jade in summer 2026.

Jade and Tracey previously worked together at Gordons LLP in Bradford between 2013 and 2016, and their professional relationship played an important part in the decision to establish an Ilkley presence. For Jade, having Tracey at the helm was key to the decision to open an office in Ilkley.

For Tracey, the move represents a personal homecoming. Her grandparents and father are from Ilkley, and her grandfather once ran a barber's shop on Leeds Road, in the premises now occupied by the Traditional Sweet Shop.

Tracey said: "Opening our Ilkley office has been particularly special for me because of my family's connections with the town. It really does feel like coming home.

" Everyone was incredibly warm and welcoming at our launch, and it was wonderful to see so many people from local businesses coming along to support us. We're really looking forward to becoming part of the Ilkley community."

Lester Campbell prides itself on offering a different approach to conveyancing, combining traditional, personal customer service with the efficiency expected of a modern law firm. Clients can contact their conveyancer directly by mobile phone, or speak to someone face to face if they prefer.

Jade Campbell, who qualified as a solicitor in 2009 and has more than 20 years' experience in residential property, said: "Tracey and I have both worked in large, high-volume firms, and we know how important the personal touch is for clients.

"Buying or selling a property can be stressful, and we want to make the process as straightforward as possible. We want people to feel comfortable picking up the phone, asking questions and knowing that there's always someone friendly and knowledgeable at the other end."

Further success followed the Ilkley launch when Lester Campbell won Silver in the Regional Conveyancer category at the prestigious ESTAS Customer Service Awards 2026 on 17th October.

The business is planning a series of activities to mark its tenth anniversary, including a 10km sponsored walk, with a route devised by Tracey's father, and a time capsule containing messages to be opened in another ten years.
