On Saturday, 17th May, 27 members of the Paraorchestra will play Handel’s beautiful ‘Eternal Source of Light Divine’ as the sun rises over the Cow & Calf Rocks.
The Commoners Choir will then set off across Ilkley Moor to start a two-day musical trek to the centre of Bradford.
Organised as part of Bradford 2025, the musical journey ends at the Mirror Pool in Bradford city centre on the afternoon of Sunday, 18th May.
Organisers say:
"The music will be carried along the route by musicians of every style and ensembles of every size, performing without pause in a host of unexpected and sometimes-unadvertised places. You might hear Qawwali music on a bandstand, jazz on a canalboat, Bhangra and brass bands marching down your street."
For full details of performances and locations visit the Bradford 2025 website: bradford2025.co.uk/programme/the-bradford-progress/
All events are free to watch and you don’t need a ticket.
On Saturday, just head up to the Cow & Calf Rocks on Hangingstone Road from 4:45am from a 5am prompt start.
Everyone is welcome, and there will be sign language and audio help.
