The Friends of Ilkley Riverside Parks have announced the winners of its Winter photograph competition.
Launched in February, there will be 4 separate competitions broadly representing the seasons of 2021 with the intention to reflect the changing nature of the Parks throughout the year. The 12 final winning images will be included in the Friends Of Ilkley Riverside Parks calendar 2022.
Ed Duguid, chair of FOIRP congratulated the winners, who were chosen after a vote by the groups social media followers and members:
"The winners were David Varney with his photo of the Old Bridge in the snow, Bridget Pitcairns's shot of West Holmes Field winter scene and the winner of the under 16 category was Niamh O'Hearne's photograph of a robin sunning itself whilst perched in a tree. The three images will not only feature in the 2022 FOIRP Calendar, but will also be used as cover photos for our social media."
