Bradford Council’s Executive last week approved the latest draft of the Local Plan for public consultation, setting out proposed locations for new housing and other development across the district up to 2043.
The proposals include new housing allocations in both Ilkley and Addingham, with two sites appearing for the first time in this latest draft.
ILKLEY
Hadfield Farm, north of Skipton Road – 256 homes (NEW)
Land off Wheatley Grove – 125 homes
Land east of Wheatley Lane – 200 homes
Stockeld Road – 12 homes
ADDINGHAM
Bolton Road – 39 homes (NEW)
Land west of Turner Lane – 9 homes
Parsons Lane/Parsons Meadow – 12 homes
Land off St Paul’s Rise – 62 homes
Land off Big Meadow Drive – 51 homes
Moor Lane – 27 homes
Church Street/Main Street – 8 homes

A spokesperson for Ilkley & Addingham Conservatives said: "This is an extremely important consultation which will help determine the future development of Ilkley and Addingham for years to come. We strongly encourage residents to examine the proposals and make their views known."
This is the final formal consultation stage before the Local Plan is submitted for examination by an independent Planning Inspector. Representations at this stage will focus on whether the plan is legally compliant and sound.
Residents are encouraged to review the proposals and submit their views before the consultation closes on Monday 30 November 2026.
