Ilkley Concert Club has announced season ticket applications are now open to its 77th season.
Concerts for the 2023/24 season will once again be at the King’s Hall and Winter Garden in Ilkley and commence on the 11th October with the Piatti Quartet together with Rachel Roberts (viola) and Jonathan Aasgaard (cello).
A spokesperson said: “The programme includes the rarely heard sound of the string sextet and a viola and piano recital; the return of favourites such as Septura brass ensemble and Benjamin Grosvenor; and Ilkley debuts for mezzosoprano Kitty Whately, yes, she is Kevin Whately’s daughter, and up and coming groups such as Lumas Winds and the Maxwell Quartet.
“Our series concludes with the returning Katya Apekisheva, this time with her duo partner Charles Owen, in a piano four hands programme which includes four movements from a piano duo version of Holst’s Planets, to celebrate the composer’s 150th birthday and round off our season with a bang!”
