From 1st March 2020 those who wish to tie the knot in historic, quirky and unique surroundings need look no further as Ilkley Manor House is now fully licensed as a venue for marriages, civil partnership formations and other celebratory events.
There are several enchanting spaces that can be used for celebrations. There is the Western Gallery with its vaulted ceiling and courtyard views; the main Housebody with its walk-in fireplace; and the Solar Gallery with its large windows bathing the space in natural light.
“The Manor House will only hold a very small number of weddings and celebratory events each year to enable it to fulfil its primary role as a creative heritage and arts hub, so it will always be a special occasion if you choose to celebrate here,” said Daisy Johnson, Trustee, Ilkley Manor House Trust.
The Manor House is suitable for up to 60 guests but it is intimate enough for a smaller number of guests for a sit-down meal.Intimate midweek daytime and twilight weddings are the focus, but the Manor House can be made available for selected weekends too.
The Manor House team are happy to help people to plan their event, offering a preferred list of local suppliers including The Aisle, Floral Dance, Jane Beadnell Photography, Jenson Samuel, Copper Spoon Cakery, Smink Makeup and Hair, L27 Weddings and Events, My Pretties UK, Libby Jubb Jewellery, Blue Sky Events and Jenny Maden Photography.
The first ever Ilkley Manor House Wedding Fayre on 5th April 2020 from 11h00-16h00 will be an informal and relaxed opportunity to explore the venue, meet many of the preferred suppliers and discuss options with the Manor House team.
