Ilkley Take That night raises over £3000 for children’s charity

Mike Davies, MBE, with tribute band Rule The World

A show featuring the music of 90s boy band Take That has raised £3100 to help some of the region’s most vulnerable children.

The event on Saturday, 17 February, which was held at the Craiglands Hotel in Ilkley and sponsored by Ilkley gym XO Fitness, was organised by the Principle Trust Children’s Charity which provides free respite breaks to children who are underprivileged, disadvantaged, disabled, have life-limiting conditions, or who have experienced poverty, trauma or abuse.

A sell-out audience of 180 supporters of the charity danced the night away to iconic hits performed by leading Take That tribute act, Rule the World.

Launched in 2011, The Principle Trust Children’s Charity was established by Ilkley businessman Mike Davies, MBE. Over the past decade the Trust has raised over £1.6m and provided respite breaks for almost 5000 children across the Yorkshire region.

Thanking supporters of the event Mr. Davies commented: "I’d like to thank everyone who came along, our generous sponsors XO Fitness, the team at the Craiglands Hotel and tribute band, Rule The World, who were brilliant. Together we raised £3100 and every penny will fund much needed respite breaks for vulnerable children and their families."
