This Sunday [6 December] sees the last Real Food Ilkley market of 2020, plans for a Christmas market have been scrapped due to current restrictions. The Real Food Ilkley team said: "As we are unable to go ahead with the Christmas market planned for 20th December, so Sunday is our last market for 2020. We have a wonderful and festive line-up for you with a great selection of regular and guest stallholders. "Please come and visit and shop safe with us this Sunday. Do remember we have hand sanitizer, masks and gloves at the Information Point for those that would like them.
We have some fantastic Christmas treats for you and your loved ones. A few stallholders have been in touch with some of the festive goodies you will find, here are just a few: "Cossack Cuisine has Russian Christmas pie - a chicken, cranberry and walnut pie; Gerhard's Pretzels will be offering non alcoholic mulled wine; Condimental are introducing some special Christmas flavours of jams and chutneys; Greenhouse Cafe has a range of vegan mince pies, yule logs and ginger biscuits; Ilkley Brewery will be offering mulled wine; Christmas puddings from Little Box Kitchen; Tricky Dickie's Sticky Toffee Pudding will be selling treacle and Christmas pudding flapjack, Christmas pudding flavour sticky toffee pudding, and Countreau sticky toffee pudding; TruFoods will have mince pies; Woodcutter Creations will be selling Christmas models and decorations; and Yorkshire Crafts has personalised angels and Christmas gnomes.
The community stalls on Sunday are Martin House Children's Hospice where you can buy raffle tickets for a Christmas Hamper, and for the children there will be 'Guess the name of the Kangaroo'. The 2nd stall is Addingham Scout Group, who will be promoting scouting locally and selling environmentally friendly Bug Hotels to fundraise for a trip to represent the UK at the International Scout Centre in Kanderstag, Switzerland."
Real Food Ilkley is on The Grove between 10am and 3pm. There is no market in January, after Sunday it will return on Sunday 7 February 2021.
