Local theatre group Ilkley Upstagers have announced their production of Shrek The Musical, which was due to be performed at the King's Hall in Ilkley in July this year has been postponed until July 2021.
Posting on their Facebook page:
"Greetings everyone! We're aware that we seem to have been pretty quiet on social media of late, but we've been working very hard behind the scenes. We're delighted to announce that our exciting new production of Shrek The Musical will still be going ahead, just a little later than originally envisaged. Blame Donkey, he got lost of the way to Dulok which means the show will no longer take place in 2020 - after all the show is set far, far away, maybe a little further away than we planned but we'll get there! Plus the dragon ate a couple of stage crew.
Therefore the regional premiere of Shrek The Musical will now be 7th to 10th July 2021. If you have booked tickets on Ticketsource for the dates in 2020 you can contact them for a full refund, and can email shrek@upstagers.org.uk if you have any enquiries.
