In what was due to be its seventh year in 2020, organisers have taken the decision to cancelled the Ilkley Jazz Festival planned in August due to a vital grant being withdrawn.
In a statement on Facebook, Festival organsier, Mark Beirne Smith said:
'Sadly we have decided that Ilkley Jazz Festival will be cancelled for 2020, our decision is based on having our Arts Council grant pulled as they will ‘focus on providing emergency financial support for the cultural and creative sector’ In the mean time we hope you stay safe and if you do want to support jazz artists during this difficult time please buy their music.
