Station Plaza raised planters plans submitted
A planning application has been submitted to Bradford Council this week seeking permission to create raised planters outside the Station Plaza on Station Road in Ilkley.
Ilkley resident, Roger Yaxley, issued a call to arms last June and work started shortly after, but was halted by council enforcement officers in September as planning hadn’t been obtained.
The new plans, which can be viewed on the council planning portal online at planning.bradford.gov.uk, show the footprint of the three planters would remain the same, but with a drystone wall of a 450mm height forming the perimeter of each planting bed.
The existing trees, furniture and lighting will remain with new under planting, layer of top soil and new seating installed into the wall of the planter nearest Brook Street.
