Rotary presents over £6k to Nell Bank
Two popular events orgainsed by The Rotary Club of Ilkley have raised £6,200 for the Nell Bank Centre in Ilkley, helping to make sure all children in the Bradford and Leeds area have the opportunity to experience this great outdoor centre.
In November a bumper full house of 24 teams completed for ‘The Andrew Hartley Trophy’ at The 26th Annual Rotary Business Charity Quiz Night held at Ilkley Rugby Club. Attended by many local businesses and organisations the evening raised £1200. Sponsored by Ison Harrison Solicitors, the date for the 2019 quiz is Thursday 28 November.
The Rotary Holly Ball in December was attended by 200 people at the Kings Hall and Winter Garden and raised £5,000. The Friends of The Kings Hall also benefited from the wines sales profits of £820 to help keep our high valuable quality community asset for Ilkley vibrant and ongoing.
The Rotary would like to thank a number of local companies who supported the Holly Ball, they are Lishmans who supplied The Topside of beef, Jeremy Bloomfield Jewellers, B & T Building Supplies, Skipton Hire Centres, Green Room Florists, The Wheatley Hotel, Audley Clevedon, Ragdoll Pudsey, Café J Reserve, Bettys, Taylors Tea, Addingham Fruit Liqueurs, Mortens, Devonshire Arms & Bolton Abbey Estate, Anne Hawkesworth & Martinez Fine Wines.
