Sixth Rotary Recycling Day

Ilkley Wharfedale Rotary Club’s annual Recycling Day will be held in the Hawksworth Street car park on Saturday, 21 September.

The event in its sixth year will be collecting old unwanted hand tools, workshop tools and sewing machines, in addition to bikes, wheelchairs, mobility aids, unwanted/outgrown school backpacks and spectacles

These items in any condition will be accepted, all be refurbished and put back into use for someone who really needs them but can’t afford them

The rotary team will be in the main car park in Ilkley between 9am and 2pm on Saturday 21 September.

Last year the club collected hundreds of items, including 113 bicycles, 26 sewing machines and 52 pairs of spectacles, along with wheelchairs, rollators, backpacks, mowers and four van loads of tools and equipment

Further details, including how the collected items will be put back in to use can be found at www.rotary-ribi.org/clubs/homepage.php?ClubID=1826
