WANTED: Local Superwoman!
In celebration of International Women’s Day 2019, which this year falls within Fairtrade Fortnight, Soroptimist International of Ilkley and Ilkley Fairtrade Group have announced an award event to recognise and celebrate the work of women making a difference to the lives of people in our area, (Ilkley, Addingham and Burley-in-Wharfedale).
Do you know a woman who deserves recognition- someone who has worked hard to make that difference? Then nominate them by 22 March - saying in 500 words or less why you feel this person deserves to be recognised as an inspiring woman.
You can access the form from the website www.sigbi.org/ilkley and return to soroptimistilkley@gmail.com or to the Clarke Foley Centre, Cunliffe Road, Oxfam shop on The Grove or the Community Action Ilkley office at Riddings Hall, Riddings Road, Ilkley.
It would be helpful to inform the woman of their nomination.
The award will take place on April 11th 2019 at the Clarke Foley Centre at the Soroptimist International of Ilkley meeting. The award winner will also receive a hamper of Fairtrade goods kindly donated by local supermarkets.
