Changes to bus and train services over Christmas and new year

As usual bus and train services in and around Ilkley will be amended over the Christmas and new year holiday period

·       Monday/Tuesday 22^nd/23^rd December – trains and buses run by First (X84), Connexions (961 & 962) and North Yorkshire Council (74A) will run a normal weekday service, but buses run by Keighley Bus Company (62 & 64) will run a Saturday service.

·       Christmas Eve Wednesday 24^th December – during the day trains and buses run by Connexions and North Yorkshire Council will run a weekday timetable, but buses run by First and Keighley Bus Company will run a Saturday timetable. Services will finish early - the last buses to Ilkley will leave at: 1315 from Grassington (74A), 1740 from Skipton (64), 1817 from Leeds (X84), 1904 from Otley (X84), 1914 from Burley-in-Wharfedale (X84), 2025 from Keighley (62) and 2056 from Addingham (62).  The last trains to Ilkley will leave Leeds at 2000 and Bradford Forster Square at 1950.

·       Christmas Day - 25^th December - no buses or trains will run.

·       Boxing Day Friday 26^th December - no buses or trains will run to/from Ilkley.

·       Saturday 27^th December - buses and trains will run to normal Saturday times.

·       Sunday 28^th December - buses and trains will run to normal Sunday times.

·       Monday/Tuesday 29^th/30^th December  - trains will run a normal weekday timetable, and buses will run a Saturday service – except North Yorkshire Council service 74A to Grassington will run as normal on Monday and DalesBus 74 will not run.

·       New Year's Eve Wednesday 31^st December – during the day trains will run a normal weekday timetable, and buses will run a Saturday service – except North Yorkshire Council service 74A to Grassington will run as normal excluding the 1650 journey from Grassington and DalesBus 74 will not run. Services will finish early with the last buses and trains at the same times as on Christmas Eve.

·       New Year's Day Thursday 1^st January 2026 - trains will generally run a normal weekday service with the first trains from Ilkley at 0709 to Leeds and 0720 to Bradford, but no buses will run.

·       Friday 2^nd January - buses and trains return to normal service, except buses run by First including the X84 will run a Saturday timetable.

·       Saturday 3^rd January - buses and trains will run to normal Saturday times.
