From August 5th to 18th, the public are invited to step inside the Clarke Foley Community Hub and discover the stories, energy, and dedication that power Ilkley’s thriving community life.
The Ilkley Community Exhibition 2025, organised by Ilkley Community Network and funded by Ilkley Town Council, is set to be one of the town’s most inspiring events of the summer - a two-week celebration that brings together a vibrant mix of local voluntary groups, charities, and community organisations to tell their stories and invite you to be part of the next chapter.
Featuring creative A3 displays in the Clarke Foley’s communal space, the exhibition is part of the wider Bradford2025 programme and showcases up to 30 groups, each presenting their unique impact, current projects, and future ambitions. It’s more than a display - it’s a visual journey through the town’s collective heart and soul.
Some of the brilliant organisations taking part this year include:
Ilkley & District Round Table – organisers of the annual Ilkley Beer Festival, Ilkley Half Marathon and tireless local fundraisers
Ilkley Carnival – the iconic May Day event that brings colour, music and celebration to the town’s streets
Ilkley Cycle Races – behind the town’s exhilarating cycling events that draw national attention
Friends of Ilkley Riverside Parks – the dedicated group working to protect and enhance our much-loved riverside green spaces
IP&D Group – the dedicated group working to celebrate all of Ilkley’s diversity and inclusivity.
Ilkley Community Network’s events manager, Tom Harris said:
“This exhibition is all about recognising the organisations that make things happen in Ilkley.
“It’s a chance to find out what’s going on behind the scenes, meet your local groups, and even discover ways to get involved.”
Whether you're curious about volunteering, looking to reconnect with the community, or simply interested in Ilkley's rich civic life, the exhibition offers a rare window into the town’s grassroots spirit.
A representative from Friends of Ilkley Riverside Parks said:
“Ilkley’s green spaces are at the heart of our community, and this exhibition is a fantastic opportunity to show how we’re working to protect and enhance them for everyone to enjoy.
“We hope it inspires more people to get involved in caring for these special places.”
The Clarke Foley café will be open throughout the exhibition, offering visitors a relaxed space to chat, reflect, and connect - Joe Short is the Clarke Foley Manager:
“We’re absolutely delighted to host the Ilkley Community Exhibition here at Clarke Foley. Our space is all about bringing people together, and this showcase is a brilliant celebration of the passion and hard work that make Ilkley such a vibrant and connected town.”
