The trustee role is voluntary, unpaid position. The trustees meet every 6-8 weeks for an hour to discuss the developments of pre-school and to help plan next steps. Throughout West Yorkshire & Craven The Companion Service supports people in West Yorkshire & Craven who have a terminal illness or life limiting condition. Would you be able to spare up to 3 hours per week supporting with companionship such as accompanying to appointments, making a meal with the client and/or listening and having a chat over a cup of tea. Volunteers needed for our Moving On Friendship Groups (social/signposting groups for older people). We have 2 groups on Thursday and Fridays and need volunteers at both between 1-3pm. Volunteering is on a rota to suit your availability.

Volunteers will help attendees feel welcome and relaxed, help with tea and coffee orders and help tidy up at the end of the session. You may also help at our excursions.

Would you like to help your local community and join the friendly team at Ilkley Community Transport? We are a registered charity based in Ilkley and are always looking for CAR DRIVERS to provide lifts primarily to medical appointments for residents in the Ilkley and Addingham area who find public transport difficult to access due to age, illness or disability. Volunteers use their own cars and claim expenses for fuel at a pre-agreed rate. Drivers must be over 21, and have held a full licence for at least 2 years.
