After three successful years, Ilkley and District Round Table is seeking sponsors for its fourth half-marathon, which will be held in Ilkley on 16th July 2023.
The event is entirely volunteer led and has been rated ‘outstanding’ and given 100% from UK Athletics in each year for safety and quality. The group also organises an event village with a broad range of food and drink vendors, children’s activities and entertainment. The 2023 event is expected to attract over 2,500 runners and 5,000 spectators.
Most importantly, the 2022 half-marathon and event village raised over £20,000 for charities and community groups across the Wharfe and Aire Valleys.
Local and regional businesses are being asked to sponsor the 2023 event, with a range of sponsorship packages available and promotional opportunities offered in return. Sponsorship will pay for race overheads, such as; water and supplements for participants, race timing and GPS services, race safety car and support vehicle hire, the event village, race merchandise, security and waste management.
Said Ilkley & District Round Table Chairman, Guy Weston: “The event is a fantastic way for businesses to associate their brand with our happy customers and the more sponsorship we receive to cover race costs, the more proceeds we can donate to charities and communities that need support. The money raised enriches communities, improves our towns and changes lives”.
The Ilkley and District Round Table puts all profits from all fundraising activity directly back into local and regional good causes, many of which are focused on children and social welfare.
