Jordan Lefley from Ilkley is walking from John o' Groats to Land's End to raise awareness and funds for Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA).
Following a serious motorcycle accident, YAA got Jordan to Leeds General Infirmary in record time, where he was lucky enough to walk out of hospital that night.
Jordan started his 1,295-mile mission on Friday [18 July] and plans to complete the walk in around 70 days, and told Ilkley Chat:
"Yorkshire Air Ambulance is an independent charity, relying solely on public donations. Each mission costs around £4,600.
"This is my way of giving back—to help cover the cost of my ride in the yellow helicopter and to support the next person who finds themselves needing it.
"If you’ve ever needed YAA, ride a motorcycle, spend time outdoors, or care about someone who does—please donate.
"Every pound helps keep this amazing team in the sky, where they’re needed most. The next trip they make could be to help you or a loved one."
