Local author, Hannah Welch, has published her first book, Some Brothers & Some Sisters, for children with step-siblings, half-siblings, or siblings living in different homes, showcasing that love knows no boundaries.

The book, which is released in September, shows family can come in many forms, and bonds between brothers and sisters are unbreakable, no matter the distance. A touching celebration of the unique, diverse, and heart-warming connections that make every family extraordinary.

Hannah now lives in Guiseley with her family after spending 15 years in Ilkley and says:

“Some Brothers & Some Sisters, came to fruition when my son became curious as to why his older brothers lived somewhere different to him, as well as trying to prepare him for his sister moving to university. I wanted to create a relatable story for children who may not always get to see their siblings.”

“I will be looking to do author visits at local primary schools and venues, if anyone is interested, please reach out.”

Hannah says ‘Her passions, beyond family, are music and poetry, which carry through in her style of writing.’

Some Brothers and Some Sisters is released on 11th September and is available to pre-order via waterstones.com
