Two Rivers Swing Band get ready to “Let the Good Times Roll"

After a two year Covid enforced break, Two Rivers Swing Band are delighted to be back at last with one of their popular dances in the sparkling setting of Ilkley's Winter Garden on Saturday 2 April.

The Swing Band is directed by local jazz trumpeter and arranger Trevor Vincent. They will be playing 3 sets including a number of Trevor's own arrangements and songs from vocalist Shirley Lewis.

Between sets while the musicians take a break there will be dance tuition from the Skipton based Swing Cats to make sure that everyone is up on the dance floor before the night is through! This is your chance to discover your hidden dancing talent.

Two Rivers Bands Chair, Les Goldman said: “This dance was originally planned for January. We had to postpone it because of concerns about the spread of the Covid Omicron variant. Fortunately, with the Covid situation now improving, our new dance date will give everyone the chance of a great night out. I think we could all do with that.”

Doors will open at 7.45pm and the music will start at 8pm.

Tickets for the dance cost just £12. They can be bought on line via the Band website www.tworiversbands.org.uk or from The Grove Bookshop.

The Band have produced this short film to give you a taste of what to expect.
