Ilkley-based Two Rivers Swing Band are staging their ever-popular Winter Swing Band Dance on Saturday 22nd November in a new venue, the Clarke Foley Community Hub.
The band will entertain you with a selection of Big Band classics, including both instrumental and sparkling vocal favourites.
A spokesperson for the swing band said:
“We’ll bring you a musical assortment from the era of classic swing through to the early Rock ‘n Roll years, including some fantastic arrangements by our very own musical director, local jazz trumpeter and arranger Trevor Vincent.
“There is something for everyone in this varied programme, and for those who want to brush off their dancing shoes we are joined by wonderful local dance teacher, Jacqui Eames. Jacqui will be on hand before the band starts playing as well as during the interval, to teach you some fun new dance moves. Alternatively, just sit back and relax, as we take you back to the days when swing was king.
“One of our favourite events, the Winter Dance is a chance for the band to play to our home audience in Ilkley and represents a real highlight of our performing year.”

Part of the Ilkley Arts Festival, doors open at 7:15 pm, with a fully licensed bar, and entertainment and dancing from 7:30 to 10 pm.
Tickets cost just £15 (standard price) and can be purchased in advance via the Two Rivers website www.tworiversbands.org.uk, from Clarke Foley Community Hub, or The Grove Bookshop. Alternatively, you can buy them on the door.
