The Rotary Club Of Ilkley receive an International Award at its lunch meeting last Tuesday.
Past District Governor, Rod Walmsley, as Club Lead for International Affairs announced at the meeting last Tuesday that he had received notification from Rotary partner Shelterbox of the award.
The charity Shelterbox specializes in international disaster relief and it has awarded the Rotary of Ilkley a Bronze Certificate for its donation of £3600 to help the charity in the relief work it is carrying out following the major earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
Rod Walmsley: said “International work with Rotary partners like Shelterbox is part of our mission as Rotarians to ease suffering wherever in the world it is needed”
